Previous CAL & KAL Projects

We facilitate casual CALs or KALs during our Sunday afternoon Socials - it doesn’t matter where you are up to, we encourage you to come along and share your progress and enjoy a social afternoon within our Community of Makers. We are there to offer advice and encouragement. 

These are NOT workshops, but rather a social CAL/KAL for those keen to make beautiful pieces in a social setting. You are also welcome to follow along virtually via our social media posts or facebook group.  These are not classes - but we are of course happy to help and guide you along the way should you need it.

Knit along with our community of knitters, as we make the fun and colourful Zane Shawl by the very talented Ambah O'Brien.  This is one of Ambah's earlier designs, which we have chosen due to its suitability for all skill levels and the enticement to have a bit of fun with colour!  We can't wait to see the colour pallette you choose!

As Ambah describes:

First up will be the big decisions regarding yarn and colour - are you up for some vibrant colours or heading down a more neutral path? Which 8 ply / DK yarn will you choose?  Bellissimo 8, Peppin 8 or Merino Fleck?  Or maybe something lighter, Wren or Papyrus? 

The Zane Shawl is a fantastic project to knit while watching your favourite Netflix series, and also perfect as an "on the go" project for busy knitters.  It is easy to pick up and put down without getting lost amongst tricky pattern!
