Choose Your Own Adventure Socks – Dear Pru Workshop 2 | Saturday 30 May

We are excited to be hosting a Stackable Knitting Retreat with Pru Raymond.

Join Dear Pru at That Yarn Place in Samford for a three-hour workshop focused on designing and customising your own sock-knitting “itinerary.” Below is the official workshop description and materials list provided by Pru.

Workshop 2: Choose Your Own Adventure Socks
Date & time: 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm Saturday 30 May 2026

On a quest to find the perfect go-to sock pattern? This workshop is designed by Pru Raymond for knitters to explore a range of heels and toes, cast ons and bind offs. The destination? A personalised ‘itinerary’ to guide future sock knitting adventures.

Materials Required:
• Needles: 3.75 mm circular knitting needle with 80 cm circumference or DPNs
• Yarn: 100 g ball/cake of DK sock yarn (NB a 100 g ball/cake is sufficient to make the mini sock in class and complete a full size pair using the recipe designed in class) OR 50 g 8 ply wool yarn in light colour (to make mini sock for learning purposes only)

Skill Level
This workshop is suitable for novice knitters who are keen to learn how to make socks, or for more seasoned knitters who want more power and insight to customise their socks or design their own. Experience of Magic Loop recommended but not essential.

Afternoon tea will be provided.
