Circus Tonic Antipodes Fingering weight yarn is a "Wild wool" base - this is a blend of white Merino and natural coloured Arapawa wool. It is a 4ply 3 fold yarn which has a beautiful heathered finish. Combining Merino and Arapawa creates a yarn that is very light and bouncy. When knitted the garment is warm with a lovely squishy feel.
The Arapawa Sheep is a breed of feral sheep found primarily on Arapaoa Island (formerly called Arapawa Island) in the Marlborough Sounds, New Zealand.
