We are excited to be hosting a Stackable Knitting Retreat with Pru Raymond.

Join Dear Pru at That Yarn Place in Samford for a three-hour workshop on Fair Isle and advanced stranded colourwork

Workshop 4: Full On Fair Isle
Date & time: 1:30 pm – 4:30 pm Sunday 31 May 2026

Get full on with Fair Isle with Pru Raymond. Develop techniques to make your colourwork stitches pop, and your floats so beautiful, you’ll want to wear your jumpers inside out. Learn to slice your knitting open like a pro, and add bands and cuffs. Leave with a new level of confidence to cast on more advanced Stranded Colourwork projects.

Materials Required:
• Needles: 4 mm circular knitting needle with 80 cm circumference for Magic Loop OR DPNs
• Yarn: 2 × 50 g balls of 8 ply / DK non-superwash yarn in solid or semi-solid colours with a high contrast (i.e. one white/very light coloured yarn and one mid–dark coloured yarn)

Skill Level
This class is designed for knitters to improve and extend their Stranded Colourwork skills to include better yarn management strategies, consistent colour dominance, catching floats (how, why and when), and steeking (‘unfinished’ method). Experience of Magic Loop recommended but not essential.

Afternoon tea will be provided.
