Dreamweaver is a shawl you’ll find hard to put down; she’s perfect for combining fades and complementary colours. Just one more row, you’ll whisper as you shuttle along. Just one more section, you’ll sigh as you come to the end of a weft or warp piece and cast an eye at the rainbow of yarns before you, scheming what will come next.

Including charts and written instructions, Dreamweaver includes directions that can be easily adapted to suit the yarn you have.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Wingspan approx. 83”/211 cm (blocked). Depth approx. 17”/43 cm (blocked).

NEEDLES & NOTIONS
Size US 6/4 mm needles.

(Optional) wires and pins for blocking.

Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
Weft (zig-zag section) 24 sts = 4”/10 cm and pattern repeat rows = 3.25”/8.25 cm, after blocking.

Warp (quilted section) 24 sts = 4”/10 cm and pattern repeat rows = 3.75”/9.5 cm, after blocking.

YARN
Approx. 14 x 20g mini skeins of Merino Singles by Union Fibre (fingering-weight; 100% superwash Merino; 100g = 400 yds/366 m).

The sample used 14 x 20g mini skeins from the 2021 Union Fibre Advent calendar.

If substituting yarn, approx. 1121 yds/1025 m of fingering-weight yarn.

The instructions are beautifully adaptable to the yarn you have available, and the colour suggestions in the pattern are a guide only.

Stick to one colour through each Weft Section (approx. 48 yds/44 m for each section) and combine colours in the Warp Section, or go wild and choose to alternate yarns as you desire.
